I'm an American-born journalist who writes for magazines you've probably heard of and may have even read. I've lived in New York City and Los Angeles and now call London home.
More about my day job over at http://www.jenniferpirtle.com.
Although I've never thought of myself as "creative," I recently began to crave experiences involving tools and senses other than the tap, tap, tap of a computer keyboard.
That got me thinking: Are people naturally creative? Or is creativity something you have to cultivate - to give yourself permission to experience?
To find out, I embarked on a creative journey. I'm collaging, drawing, thrifting, photographing, learning screen printing, and just generally opening my eyes a bit wider. (When I recently received a sewing machine for my birthday, my 3-year-old daughter asked, "How do you work that?" I responded, quite honestly, "I have no idea.")
On a larger note, I'm particularly interested in how busy women can cultivate their own creativity to bring balance and meaning to their lives.
I hope you'll join me on the journey! Feel free to get in touch. . .
Warmly,
Jennifer
